Howz it going guys and girls! I just wanted to remind everyone that we are resuming our Prophecy seminar bible studies this coming Friday night, at 7:00. We will be looking at the 2nd half of lesson 2, "The Oppressor of God's people", question 17-29. So please don't forget to bring your bibles, lessons guides and a studious spirit. I trust by now you have already reviewed the lesson, remember, repetition deepens impression. Go over it by yourself, if you haven't, and lets discuss it together to maximize our learning. May you be blessed as we study together. Let's be praying for divine guidance and a unified spirit in our study. Blessings to you all and happy studying. Aloha!

We are Gods creation

We are Gods creation, a complex computer that not even Bill Gates himself can create
Our hardware is unique, and our software is a classic example of heavenly engineering
Our brain is the memory and our conscience is the operating system
How fast we run is determined by what we download into our system
Sin in the form of spam we add to our systems, our system being our lives
The more bad files we download the more we are at risk of crashing.
But if we turn to our service provider Jesus,
He has an anti virus that not even the Devil himself can defeat
It is only through him that we can conquer and upgrade our systems
Because if we rely on control alt delete to save us
Then we are putting our operating systems at great risk.

The Katinas

The Katinas The Katinas, a Christian quintet of brothers, are in concert on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at 8 p.m. at the Howard Performing Arts Center at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich.

The Katinas have eight Dove Award nominations under their belt and have performed for notable events including the Billy Graham Crusade, CMT's September 11 Memorial, Monday Night Football and a pre-game concert at a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden.

Sam, Joe, Jesse, John and James Katina were born in Samoa, but spent much of their years growing up in a suburb of San Diego, Calif., where their father was a Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton. The family later relocated back to the Samoan Islands where their father worked as a pastor and ministered to the local churches. They have a strong music background, and as children they were jokingly only allowed to play instruments if they could sing with them at the same time. read more

COUNTING YOUR FRIENDS

Don't count your true friends on a bright sunny day, when the sky is blue and smiles come so easily...

Instead, wait for a storm, when the clouds are dark and the day grows cold, and laughter is not heard in your heavy heart.

Then when a friend comes and stands beside you and lifts your spirits to the sky and laughter is in your heart, you know that they deserve the name "Friend".

The Simplicity of The Gospel

After 3 long hours of jostling with traffic and navigating the seemingly endless exits, we finally arrived at the pristine Tamarack campground nestled deep in the woods of Eastern Michigan. Partially disoriented by the abrupt exodus from civilization and partially worn with fatigue, the sight of the gate gave us a new boost of energy. The fall air felt fresh and the remoteness of the place made the fast pace of life seem meaningless.
Welcome to CAMPUS fall retreat 2008. We were up bright an early Sabbath morning enjoying the first glimpse of the striking burst of fall foliage and chromatic splendor. The sermons would take us through a journey of meditation and personal reflection that made a unique impression on every one attending.
The MASDAC youth choir under the direction of Mufarrow and Fairchild stepped up the to plate when they were called upon. The choir sang beautifully and made a difference to the service. A point that was reiterated by Dr. Pipim.
It was a wonderful moment in time when we could leave the cares of our mundane lives and focus on what really matters. Personally it served to reorient me and keep what's important in front of me. I especially enjoyed the emphasis on how we should hate sin. The illustration given by the speaker, Pastor Na'a will stay in my mind for a long time.
I will be posting photographs taken during the trip within the next coming days. For those that made it, you know you were blessed, for those that couldn't make it, its not too late for the next camp. I will keep you informed of other youth related events happening in our area.
Thanks and may God bless you.
