Beautiful Death
ReplyDeleteSummer time, winter time, spring time and fall
These are earthly seasons filled with grace ‘n awe
But one that’s so amazing, mind boggling is the fall
So many swim this wonder but never get to shore
Wide trees, flat trees, splendid trees and tall
Why they look so beautiful, in the time of fall
Yellow leaves, brown leaves, burgundy and red
So gorgeous and so mesmeric, but this a sign of death
What nature oration is this, making death so fair?
Whose masterpiece is this painting pictures obscure?
Yellow, brown and burgundy, bloody scene of earth
Nature’s way of speaking, behold the beauty of death
Out of rotting foliage, ascends a burst of vitality
Out of putrid matter, evolves the scent of life
And upon the naked branches, arises bright intensity
Given way by the fall, this the beauty of death
So it is His master plan ‘bout the fate of humanity
Out of rotted mortals comes the redeemed of earth
Out of repulsive nothingness appears life for eternity
Even these naked branches need be neatly arrayed
Adorned by the master artist ensuing awesome purity
Rid of sin an grime and entirely dead to self
Living to be of service, this is the Beauty of Death.

ReplyDeleteCOUNTING YOUR FRIENDS
ReplyDeleteDon't count your true friends on a bright sunny day, when the sky is blue and smiles come so easily...
Instead, wait for a storm, when the clouds are dark and the day grows cold, and laughter is not heard in your heavy heart.
Then when a friend comes and stands beside you and lifts your spirits to the sky and laughter is in your heart, you know that they deserve the name "Friend".
